ABOUT
Wemi is a Physiotherapist , member of Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists (ISCP), CORU registered and owner of PelviCore & More Physiotherapy. She was born in Dublin, trained in America, returned to Ireland in 2005 and has lived in Dunboyne since 2009.
She graduated from New York Institute of Technology with a BSc in Physical Therapy in 2000 and a MSc in Physical Therapy in 2001. She has extensive experience in young adult, adult, care of the elderly, and physiotherapy for neurological and musculoskeletal conditions. In 2012, she began studying and training in the management of urinary incontinence, bowel dysfunction, pelvic pain and post-natal rehab. She set up and solely ran the Pelvic Floor & Continence clinic in St. Mary’s Day Hospital, Phoenix Park for 6 years. This included the primary care area of North West Dublin. During this time her passion grew as did the awareness of the need for a dedicated service in Pelvic Health conditions.
She worked in Beaumont Hospital as a Senior Physiotherapist in Pelvic Health for almost 3 years. There she gained further knowledge and experience in the management and treatment of various colorectal, urological and gynaecological conditions.
As Wemi currently works full-time as a Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist in the Pelvic Floor Centre of St. Michael's Hospital Dunlaoghaire, she sees a handful of private patients on Fridays mornings each month.
She is constantly upskilling to bring new services in accordance to best practice to her clients.
